Every Shropshire Holdings safety deposit box includes complimentary insurance through Noble Security Box Insurance — with higher limits available if you’re storing higher-value assets. Cover is set up in your name (the renter), not the centre or bank.

Complimentary cover
Noble Security Box Insurance provides the insurance for your box contents. Because the policy is issued in your name, you can tailor cover to your needs and—if the worst should happen—make a claim directly.
What’s covered
- Increase cover up to £500,000 per safe deposit box at any time.
- If you need more than £500,000, contents can be split across multiple boxes (no limit on number of boxes insured).
- Cash and currency can be covered while stored inside the safe deposit box (within the overall sum insured).
- Keys and locks are covered up to £250 if you lose your keys.
- No excess for Key Cover, but one Key Cover claim per policy year.
- Policies are underwritten by insurers with a minimum financial security rating of “A”.
- Online access lets you view or amend your policy.
Standard cover applies while your belongings are stored inside the approved safe deposit box centre / bank vault. If you remove items, cover ceases on those items unless you add Wear Cover.
Wear Cover (optional)
Wear Cover is an extension for times when items (for example jewellery) are taken out of the box for special occasions like weddings and religious festivals—while still remaining insured (subject to policy terms).
- Up to 30 days per policy year outside the box (additional days may be available on request).
- Items covered while being worn / carried / stored in a locked safe.
- UK only.
- Limited to 30% of the sum insured inside the safe deposit box, up to a maximum of £100,000.
- Cash is not covered under Wear Cover.
